I'm excited it is not SO hot outside but I wish there was a happy medium between blazing hot days and really chilly mornings. It went from being 100+ feeling outside to now being in the 30's and 40's at night and 80's during the day. But we are enjoying the "cooler" evenings being able to run and play outside. The boy just LOVES to play outside and if he doesn't feel like playing outside just sitting in his small fold able lawn chair outside. He is doing great. Vocabulary is coming along very well and he is very talkative and tries to imitate most things we do. He loves to sing and dance and learn about letters and colors. He can sing his alphabet although you can only understand a handful of the letters. He has finally reached 24 pounds at 21 months old. We still have him rear facing in his car seat but I am debating turning him around before the 14 hour drive to Flordia next month just can not decide. We are going to Disney world next month with a bunch of folks from our family. Our very core group is going and then some! Should be fun but I am worried about taking a not quite 2 year old to Disney. It's something we swore we would never do, but then this opportunity presented itself and we couldn't say no. Speaking of that almost 2 year old he is still wearing 12 month clothing and the pants are still a little bit big but atleast we got out of 9 month clothing finally! We have started introducing the potty and I think he is ready to potty train but I'm trying to put him off until after we come back from Disney not sure I will be able to though. We'll see how that goes. He really is refusing to put on a diaper these days and absolutely wants to go sit on the potty.
In other news I decided the weekend before Sept 13th that it was time to do something about my ever creeping weight and my husband and I started a 1200 calorie a day diet. I am proud to say that I have lost 14 pounds!! And I am looking forward to many more coming off. I am trying to be a little more active outside of work and build up my cardiovascular status before having to walk around Disney. that pretty much sums up our life right now. Work, Play, Eat and Sleep.
I hope everyone else is doing well and life is going great.
May God Bless You,
Becca
