Been a while since I posted. We had our 18 month check up today at 19 months and 6 days old. We are just shy of 22 pounds (3rd percentile) and is 31 inches long (8th percentile (up from the 3rd)) and head was in the 49th percentile. Just about where he has been since the day he was born. She was please with his progress as far as things he can do/say/etc. She agrees we have probably hit the terrible two's early after us describing what he is doing. Other than that I have been working extra at work (50 hour weeks on my 2nd of 3 and then have one more in a couple of weeks) we have been short on nurses so I have been filling in. The extra money will be nice for our November disney trip! I can't believe our Disney trip is almost here. It has been way too hot to go outside here in the last couple of weeks but that doesn't stop our boy from begging to go out and throwing a tantrum when we don't take him. I want to know where my sweet adorable easy to get along with baby went. He went from putting himself to sleep when we layed him down at night to fighting when we try to put him down, from trying to help us dress him to throwing a fit when we are changing his clothes. He went from not minding diaper changes to squirming and screaming during changes. I want my easy going child back but I wouldn't trade him as he is now either. We've just got to find a balance of letting him assert his independence and not letting him get his way all the time. Pick our battles is what we must do!! My Sister-In-Law had a new baby last week. I held her for a while in the hospital oh how I miss holding a baby but surprisingly it did not give my baby fever. I want to enjoy this time with Reed right now before thinking about another one, I feel it wouldn't be fair to him to have another one right now.
May God Bless you,
Becca
