Illness...

So I've had a cough for going on 3 weeks now, well, really probably a little longer than that, but at the beginning of this week I really started to feel like crap. I kept coughing every time I would try to lay down and sleeping has been a challenge so I decided to go to the doctor's office this afternoon, so I made an appointment for 4:30 this afternoon so DH could come home from work a little early and take over taking care of the baby since I don't take him to daycare on the days I work. I get there and after a 2 hour wait got blood drawn and a sinus x-ray done and the doctor comes in and tells me my white blood count is up and tells me the right side of my throat is swollen, they she looked at my x-ray and my right sinus cavity has NO air in it at all, it is completely stopped up so she says it is chronic sinusitis. What does that mean? I get to do 3 weeks of antibiotics, mucinex, cough syrup with codiene, a steriod pack and flonase. If that doesn't clear this up then I get to go to the ENT and have my sinuses suctioned out the old fashion way, not my idea of fun!!! So I'm gonna pray real hard that all this medicine works and that I can take it all as prescribed, which I'm usually not real good at even though I know as a nurse taking ALL your medicine is the correct thing. Enough about me, my darling son is in the middle of teething and has an ear infection which we are treating with the ear drops since having the tubes placed in December. He has just about weened himself from breastfeeding now and that is a good thing since with all the medicine I will be taking it wouldn't be a good idea to continue now. other than that he is good though, he is taking more and more steps everyday and is changing and growing so much everyday. I'm excited to see him grow up but at the same time very sad because he's not my snuggly little baby anymore, now when i try to hold him he squirms until I put him down so he can be on the go.
