This and That...

The summer has been fairly uneventful for us with a few exceptions. We have played hard , Laughed hard and loved hard. We have tried to go swimming (at my moms) as much as we can and my sweet Little Guy is LOVING the water although he can not stand to get his ears wet. We've been to Pensacola (my dad is moving there and has a house where we can stay) twice since Memorial day and he is LOVING going to the beach and ask to go often. Then on August 1st 2011 we had his tonsils and adeniods taken out due to a few factors but mostly sleep apnea issues and the 2 weeks that followed were almost unbearable. My usually calm, sleeps through the night child went to being mostly OK during the day but woke up screaming every 1 1/2 to 2 hours at night and would remain screaming for 30-45 mins until we could forcefully hold him down and get Tylenol/Ibuprofen in him to relieve him. He does not like to take ANY medicine anymore where as he use to take it with no problems and even almost looked forward to taking it before. Besides those few things we have gone into potty training adventures. We are doing Big-Boy underwear during the day when we are at home, and pull-ups at daycare/out. He has been on the potty 1-2 dozen times but still is not consistent. the last 2 nights he has called out from his bed and asked to go potty, gotten up potties and then went back to bed with no fuss. I think this is improvement. Our child care provider is WONDERFUL!! She has had a lot of success with him going while he is in her care and is helping us encourage this milestone. LOVE HER!! We are very verbacious and getting into everything, climbing on things and jumping off things and have had several bruises/scrapes from just being a boy this summer. It has been too hot to be outside much so we are looking forward to the cooler weather that comes with fall so that we can play outdoors and enjoy times together as a family. I hope my post finds you all well and I hope God is blessing your family as much as he is ours.

May God Bless You,
B
